ARC Review: Real Men Will by Victoria Dahl

It's always the quite ones that are the most freaky, which was definitely the case with Eric and Beth. Six months ago Eric Donovan had incredible one-night no strings attatched sex with Beth Cantrell. So incredible that he hasn't been able to forget her or the steamy night they spent together. When Beth shows up unexpectedly at the Brewery, Eric can't believe his eyes. He's excited to see Beth but there is just one problem. Beth thinks he's his brother Jamie. When Beth does find out the truth, she is beyond upset. It brings back feelings of rejection she felt as a teenager. Did Eric only sleep with her because of a bet? Was it a joke between him and his brother?

Even though Beth is hurt, she still can't stop thinking about Eric. When she slept with him six months ago he awakened something in her that she's only felt with him and she just wants to experience that feeling again. She decides that maybe they should have another one night stand. Then one night turns into another and another, until they both find themselves in a relationship neither saw coming.

When these two come together, no one or anything else seems to exist. They are just so focused on one another and the sexual feelings that they bring out in each other. Let me tell you these two were muy caliente together. Sex on tables, on the floor, against the office wall, in restaurants, they just couldn't keep their hands off of each other.

But This book was just so much more than a coming together for Eric and Beth. This book was quite serious compared to the past two and at one point had me in tears. Both are vulnerable and are dealing with a lot of issues and demons that they have been carrying with them for years. Both are just trying to figure themselves out and what they really want to do with their lives while trying to figure out what they want from one another. They both seem to be singularly focused on the other and can't think of anything but the other, but Beth can't trust Eric and Eric just isn't ready for their relationship to be public. He just wants everything to be between the two of them.

Beth and Eric were just so good together. I felt like they both seemed to bring out the best in the other and seemed to help each other with their personal demons. They were able to be themselves with one another. They both put of this persona that they know what they are doing and they don't need anyone else's help, which is just so far from the truth.

All in all, I really enjoyed this book. I'm actually quite sad to say goodbye to the Donovans. I feel like they've become family and I've really enjoyed reading about their lives. I honestly wish there were more books in this series. I'm not ready to say goodbye. I am so glad that I stepped outside of my comfort zone and picked up these books. They have become some of my favorites of the year and definitely made me realize that contemporaries can be good too.

Interview with Author Lisa Kessler and Giveaway

Today I would like to welcome to the blog, author Lisa Kessler. Lisa is the author of the amazing book Night Walker. I just adored this book and you can see my review for it here. Lisa is super awesome and kind enough to let me ask her a few questions and I'm excited to share them all with you guys.

First off, can you tell us a bit about you?
Hi Dani! *Waving* Let’s see, I’m married with two kids, and when I’m not writing, I’m usually singing.

Did you always want to be a writer?
Nope. I was one of those kids with LOTS of potential career paths… LOL I wanted to be a singer, a choir teacher, a special ed teacher, and a social worker. Shew! I used to make up stories when I was a kid to keep from being bored and picked it up again for fun after my kids were born.

Why write a paranormal? What about this genre draws you in?
It’s funny, I’m a huge chicken. I was an only child latchkey kid and my imagination always dreamed up scary things… Yikes! I think it carried over into my writing. I enjoy life and death situations with a paranormal twist.

Where do your ideas come from?
I don’t really know. I usually start with a character and as I write a story forms. Occasionally I’ll be researching something and get an idea from there too.

A la Twitter style, can you describe your book (or series) in 140 characters or less.
Night Walker – He gave up his soul for a second chance to love her…

Follow Friday #15

Feature and Follow Friday is a blog hop put together by two hosts:  Parajunkee and Alison Can Read as a way to help bloggers become aware of other blogs and bloggers. It's a great way to make new blogger friends.

Q. What superhero is your alter-ego?

Um, this one is really hard. I really don't know much about superheroes except for the biggies like Superman and Batman and I don't really think I'm like either of them. I wish I could say that I'm cool and work well under pressure but sadly I don't. I tend to spaz out and a have a slight case of OCD. So any superhero that is like that would be me I guess.

Make sure to check out all of the giveaways I have going on right now. Lots of different books up for grabs. =)

Just follow these simple rules to join in on the fun:
  1. (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Host {Parajunkee Alison Can Read} and any one else you want to follow on the list.
  2. (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers- Book Savvy Babe & The Bursting Bookshelf
  3. Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing on Alison Can Read or  Parajunkee's blog.
  4. Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say hi in your comments
  5. Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "HI"
  6. If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love...and the followers.
Thanks for stopping by. =)

Guest Post and Giveaway with Author Daisy Harris

Today I would like to welcome author Daisy Harris to the blog. Daisy is currently on tour promoting her newest release Studenstein. So please give a warm welcome to Daisy.

Hi there! Firstly, I'd like to thank Danielle for having me on the blog. THANKS!

She asked me to talk a little bit today about where my ideas came from for my new release, Studenstein. Well, the simple answer is that they came from the first book in my Love-Bot series, Lust After Death.

When I first wrote it, Lust After Death was a zombie marriage of convenience story with a cast of characters as long as my arm. It was designed to be a stand-alone book, but once I came up with the idea of reanimated humans called "steins" I was off and running!

Lust After Death was originally coined "The Bride" and the only thing I could think to write as a sequel was "The Stud."

Guest Post with Author Shadonna Richards and Giveaway

Hiya everyone. Today I would like to welcome to the blog author Shadonna Richards. Shadonna is currently on tour promoting her book An Unexpected Bride. So please everyone, give Shadonna a warm welcome.
Hi, everyone!
I’m Shadonna, author of An Unexpected Bride, a romantic comedy about Emma Wiggins who is about to marry her heart-stopping, gorgeous boss, CEO Evan Fletcher in seven days. Only he doesn’t know about it yet! Since An Unexpected Bride centers around the theme of dream weddings, I thought I’d compile a list some of the most romantic songs for weddings (in no particular order). Check this list out:
