Guest Post with Author Nancy Naigle and Giveaway

Today I am happy to welcome to RFTC author Nancy Naigle. Nancy is super awesome and nice and is one of the authors that is part of the Dangerous Darlings Street Team. Nancy has stopped by to chat and share some info about the Dangerous Darlings team but first let's get to know a bit about Nancy.

Nancy Naigle writes love stories from the crossroad of small town and suspense.

With a career spent on the cutting edge of technology in the banking industry, Nancy spends her extra time writing the kind of stories she likes to read, in hopes that just maybe other career gals can find an escape from their hectic lifestyles in the make believe worlds she creates.

Aside from writing she enjoys hunting for treasures in junk and antique shoppes with friends, and getting crafty no matter what the medium from painting and digitizing embroidery designs, to weaving pine needle baskets.

A Virginia native, and spending most of her life in the Tidewater area, she and her husband of 15 years moved inland to the quiet of Southampton County. They now live in a log-sided home on a working goat farm with their two labs and more kids (the four-legged kind) than they keep count of, where they live their own small town love story.

Places to find Nancy:

If authors are your rock stars, then becoming a member of a street team might be right up your alley. It used to be that street teams were reserved to musicians and big rock stars. KISS had the KISS ARMY, Bret Michaels has a street team, and countless others have done it. They’ve leveraged their friends and fans to make a grass roots effort to share what they love with others. The cool thing about street teams is the members help spread the word through their local touch points in the ways that they are comfortable with. In return, they get limited edition merchandise and early previews of new releases.

The day a writer can write a book as fast as a reader can read it – we may not need street teams, but until then we need a way to keep you in the loop about when our books are coming out and building readership is more important than ever with so many books available. Rumor has it that there are hundreds of thousands of books published last year....yeeezow!

I’ve joined forces with four other authors and our first members helped us name our street team. I think the name is perfect - the Dangerous Darlings.

Who are the authors- Kelsey Browning - Tracey Devlyn - Adrienne Giordano - Tracy March - Nancy Naigle

What is the mission- READ. REACH OUT. REPEAT.

Where- In your own neck of the woods. Your friends, your library, bookstores, clubs etc.

When- At release time is always great, but anytime you want to share is appreciated.

Why- To help like-minded readers find and enjoy the same books you do. The more the merrier.

How to become a Dangerous Darling. Just click here.

The advantage to our street team members is that with five authors writing romance and suspense you get:
  • Variety
  • More releases (nine new books in 2013 and six already lined up in 2014)
  • Five times the swag to share with your friends
  • Exclusive access to excerpts and a Facebook group

Darlings earn points for everything they do and they can achieve up to five levels of Darling fabulousness. We’ve got members that have already achieved the first couple of levels:

Wouldn’t you like to be a darling too?

~BUT WAIT—THERE’S MORE~

Regardless if you choose to accept our mission as a Dangerous Darling or not --- you can still join in the fun in our event this month. How’s the chance to win a $50 gift card sound?

Word Scramble/Scavenger Hunt Contest:

All you have to do to enter the contest is:
  • Go to each of our websites and locate the letter clues. Here’s what they look like.
  • When you’ve collected all the letters from all five websites you should have a total of 21 letters.
  • Unscramble the letters to make a phrase. HINT: The secret phrase can be found in today’s post!
  • Sign in on the Rafflecopter contest form below and select the websites you pulled the letters from.
  • Enter the secret phrase.

You won’t be able to see the clues until you sign in on the Rafflecopter.

Bonus:
Want to stay in the loop on our new releases, contests, and special appearances via our periodic e-newsletters. In addition to solving the word scramble, you could earn up to five additional chances to win the $50 gift card by just signing up for one or all of our e-newsletters. Once you enter the secret phrase on Rafflecopter, links to all our newsletters will appear. Each sign up will get you that much closer to $50!

    1. I do love all the great things Bret does. He's a great example of following your dream -- and then giving back through his multiple philanthropic ventures.

  5. You guys and Danielle are all great! The street team is very organized and fun to be a part of. I like the random chatting that goes on in the group. Everyone feels like friends more than authors and readers. I really enjoy the diversity of types of books you guys write, too. Great job!
