RFTC I've Got a Secret Event with Author Juliana Stone

Juliana Stone fell in love with her first book boyfriend when she was twelve. The boy was Ned, Nancy Drew’s boyfriend, and it began a lifelong obsession with books and romance. A tomboy at heart, she split her time between baseball, books, and music-three things that carried over into adulthood. She’s thrilled to be writing young adult as well as adult contemporary romance, and does so from her home somewhere in Canada.

Hey Guys,

So happy to be here taking part in my pal Danielle’s celebration! She’s been a wonderful supporter of mine, and of the romance world as a whole—in short she’s pretty damn special! Now, on to business. Secrets….

We’ve all got them. Some are big. Some are small. And really, some don’t matter at all. (Hey I made a rhyme, who knew I was a poet?)

I’m going to share with you all a silly secret of mine. One I kept for a number of years until mini me showed me the error of my ways. As some of you know music is a huge deal in my home. I grew up surrounded by it. Hank Williams. Johnny Cash. Ernest Tubb. Those were the guys my dad loved and it was all I knew until I was about 9 or 10 and discovered AC DC, Journey, Styx. BOSTON! I was hooked on rock. Became a huge fan of The Doors. I had flags in my room with Jim Morrison (used to fantasize that he wasn’t dead and in fact my boyfriend). I had a flag with Bon Jovi. (My dad used to ask me what the heck kind of disease is that?)

Yes. I was all about rock. Even toured for 2 years singing lead vocals in an all girl rock band. Life went on. I married. Had kids. Those kids grew. But my musical tastes did not. Until they did. My daughter and her pals are huge country music fans. I used to tease them about it and they told me country was cool. Whatever. I resisted for as long as I could until, well, I couldn’t. But even then, no way was I telling mini me that I’d hopped on the country music bandwagon, especially because it was of her. She didn’t need to know that along with Tool, and Disturbed, and the Foo Fighters I now had Zac Brown, and Luke Bryan, and Florida Georgia Line on my iTunes.

I got busted of course. Accused of copying her style. BUT now that we’re on the same page…we’re planning on seeing Zac Brown this summer and I am pumped!!!

So that’s about it. My darkest secret shared =)

To help celebrate with Danielle, I’m giving away an ebook copy (kindle only) of my recently featured deal, The Family Simon boxed set which is books 1-3 in this series!!

I hope you all have a great weekend!

Juliana

The first three books in The Family Simon series, from USA Today bestselling author, Juliana Stone! Share the love, laughter and tears and the occasional guest appearance by those crazy Barker girls!

TUCKER

When all hope is gone, can love still find a way?
Tucker Simon has given up on love. After a tragedy, it’s just not in the cards for him, and he wishes his family would get off his back. He’s fine—or at least he thought he was–until a family wedding forces him to address a few things, namely his date, Abby Mathews. She’s been put in the ‘friend’ category, mostly because she deserves so much more than what he can give. But the more time that he spends with her, Tucker begins to think that maybe there is a chance for love after all…

Abby Mathews has been in love with Tucker Simon since he walked into her family’s bar nearly a year ago. But he’s got baggage and heartache a plenty. His one-night-stands aren’t going to lessen that no matter what he thinks. Tucker needs a friend, but Abby wants to give him more, and as they navigate their way through a weekend in Florida, their attraction can’t be ignored. Abby has to make a choice. Does she cherish their friendship and take what she can get? Or does she go after what she really wants, which is Tucker’s heart…

JACK

One night with the wrong woman can change your life….
Jack Simon’s road to the White House has been a smooth one until a night with the notorious Donovan Jams becomes a roadblock he can’t escape. Suddenly he’s America’s number one story and it has nothing to do with politics. Jack’s tangled with this woman before and knows they’re no good together. The only thing they are good for is a four letter word…hurt. He should get on with his life and concentrate on his job. But that’s hard to do when the one thing standing in his way, is the one thing he wants the most…

Donovan James, international singing sensation, has made her living singing songs about heartache and pain, two things she grew up on. But it’s time to set down some roots and the only man she wants is a man she’s all wrong for. A man she’s never stopped loving—Jack Simon. They’d had it all once, until they didn’t. And yet she can’t help but wonder if a second shot together just might be the game changer she needs. Or if old secrets can still ruin the only man she’s ever loved…

MAVERICK

The woman he never saw coming is the woman who rocked his world…Maverick Simon lost his mojo somewhere between the last film he scored and a nasty break-up with one of Hollywood’s elite. Burnt out, a vacation is just what this California boy needs. His brother’s empty house in Maine offers the perfect sanctuary. But plans go awry when he meets a woman who rocks his world in more ways than one. She’s not his usual type—she’s edgy, opinionated, and downright rude. But something about the prickly Charlie Samuels sparks his interest. Maverick must decide if that something is exactly what he needs, or if the smokin’ hot chemistry they share is nothing more than a vacation fling…

Charlie Samuels had always dreamed of leaving her small New England town for something bigger. But that dream disappeared the day her father died, leaving her to raise her younger brother and keep the family business afloat. Now a mechanic, she’s knee deep in grease and oil, and with a pile of bills to pay, has no time for someone like Maverick Simon—a guy who’s just passing through. She can’t deny the tall, brooding, sexy-as-sin, Maverick, causes her pulse to race, but she knows that he’s way out of her league. So why is she contemplating an affair? Especially when she knows that Maverick Simon could cost her more than she’s willing to give, namely, her heart…

  5. I'm definitely more of a rock girl than country. It's only been in the last few years that I can tolerate listening to much country. I credit my boss having 60s and 70s folk music playing all the time. Compared to hearing those same songs over and over, country music is heaven!

  8. Wow, sounds so exciting to have been the lead vocals of an all girl rock band. I think music tastes can expand over time. Look at Sting and Rod Stewart.
