Naughty New Year Event with Anna del Mar

Amazon bestselling author Anna del Mar writes hot, smart romances that soothe the soul, challenge the mind, and satisfy the heart. Her stories are about strong heroines struggling to find their place in the world and the brave, sexy, kickass, military heroes who fight with all they’ve got to protect the women they love. She’s the author of The Asset, The Stranger, At the Brink and her newest, To the Edge. Anna enjoys traveling, hiking, skiing, and the sea. Writing is her addiction, her drug of choice, and what she wants to do all the time. The extraordinary men and women she met during her years as a Navy wife inspire the fabulous heroes and heroines at the center of her stories. When she stays put—which doesn’t happen very often—she lives in Florida with her indulgent husband and two very opinionated cats.

Hello readers of Ramblings From This Chick,

I’m delighted to share with you a special holiday scene, the story after the story, a check with the protagonist of my latest erotic romance, To the Edge from Carina Press. To the Edge is the second chance love story of Noah Blake and Clara Luz, a couple who stole my heart and fired my imagination. In a nutshell: To learn about kink, Clara had to learn the ropes, but she never expected to be so compromised she’d need rescue by none other than Noah Blake, the first man she ever loved, the ex-SEAL who almost destroyed her, the warrior determined to reclaim her heart and fight for redemption to the very edge of sexual obsession.

I write stories about strong heroines struggling to find their place in the world and the brave, sexy, kickass heroes who fight to protect them with all they’ve got. Some of my stories are romantic suspense, like The Asset and The Stranger. Some are erotic romances, like At the Brink. If you liked At the Brink, you will love To the Edge. Honestly? It’s the sexiest, naughtiest, kinkiest, erotic romance I’ve written to date.

Enjoy!

On Christmas morning, Clara was working on her laptop, lounging on the sectional next to me, her eyebrows drawn as she worked on her blog. I had my tablet in my hands, but I wasn’t cyber hunting. Instead, I was doing recon on Clara, taking her in like the mission-centered, ex-SEAL I was. Her lips were still glossy and swollen from my kisses, as were her nipples, half-hidden beneath the soft tartan that hugged her naked body almost as tightly as I’d been holding her just moments ago.

I loved her tousled look, the lax curls falling in disarray around her face, still flushed from our latest round. She looked up and met my gaze, dazzling me with a smile that turned her Maldives-blue eyes into sparkling crescents. I was so goddamn lucky to have her with me, in my home, in my life.

I set aside my laptop and kissed her, savoring her mouth, slipping my hand beneath the blanket to fill my palm with her soft, pliable breast. Outside, a flurry of silvery snowflakes blew across the Chesapeake Bay, but inside, I was scorching hot. My body temp had nothing to do with the fire crackling in the hearth.

Clara giggled against my lips, the throaty, sexy laughter I craved as much as her body. “Again?”

“You’re mine, remember?” I dropped my hand between her legs and made myself at home.

“I love being yours.” She leaned the back of her head on the couch and drew her knees apart beneath the blanket. Her breath hitched at my touch and her arousal squeezed my dick into a state of solid readiness. “So much to learn.”

We were both learning. We’d hit some major milestones lately, and not only of the sexual variety. Last night, we’d had Christmas Eve dinner at the Luz compound, with Clara’s mother and her lover, two people who’d been at the top of my shit list for the last fifteen years. I wasn’t the forgiving type, but what the hell. It was Christmas.

I was proud of Clara. She’d stood up to her mother. She wasn’t going back to the Luz Foundation. I was making progress too. I’d managed to get out of my house for three straight hours—without the help of medicinal courage. Not easy. Or fun. But Clara had been happy, which made the production worthwhile. In exchange, when we got back, she’d spent most of the night suspended from my favorite harness, wearing only her jingle bell nipple clamps while my Santa rode her sleigh.

The memory of our private holiday made me want to celebrate again. I didn’t have to ask. Clara climbed on my lap and, with a swivel of her hips, restarted the festivities. We had presents under the Christmas tree, but we’d already collected on life’s most epic gifts. After fifteen years apart, the past was behind us and we got to build the present in tandem. Best part? We’d earned our future together.

Clara's gone wild.

Naked. Cuffed. Caged. Is this the sweet senator’s daughter I left behind?

I didn't know it was her when I rushed into that room filled with flames, but I'll never let her go again.

She’s proposed a unique way to thank me. It could bring us both to the edge of ecstasy—or to the point of no return.

Clara wants to submit. To me. Totally. Damn any limits. The very thought of it has brought me back from the dead.

But a stranger is watching from the shadows. He’s made us his fantasy. And he plays rougher than I do. Where he’s taking us now is somewhere so dark, and so dangerous, that this time it could be inescapable.
